WEDDING GALLERY

On 4th November 2023 we had a very special day. Our Emma got married to the lovely Sam and of course, that meant we were able to pull out ALL the stops to create the most magical display for their special day.

The wedding took place in a beautiful idllyic church in the picturesque villiage of Fulmer. The church is situated next to The Black Horse Pub and this allowed Sam to welcome the guests with a drink to begin the celebrations.

The reception was a short drive away at Emma’s grand-parents home. They had a wonderful marquee that was set up by Top Hat Marquees. This allowed a complete clean slate to let the flowers and table linen really do the talking.

Although a huge luxury of designing your own wedding is that you are in control and are not limited to any type of flower, it then means that the choice is endless! We opted to keep it simple with white flowers and lots of greenery. As it was an early winter wedding, the flowers helped to set the scene. Our designs used white Avalanche Roses, Astrantia, Carnations, Freesias, Hypericum Berries, Agapanthus, Waxflower, Skimmia and Limoneum (all of Emma’s favourite flowers). These flowers were paired with Pistachio, Euclyptus, Ruscus, Ivy and Salal. We find that using a mixture of greeneries, really helps to elevate and give our designs a lot more texture.

There were three long tables that were adorned with a central runner full of flowers and candles. Hanging above, there were greenery clouds above each table with floating candles and carnations. At the end of the tables were flower meadows to bring the whole design together.

There was a bar that Emma and her Dad spent months creating which had two sensational pedestals either side. Within the bar, there were some plants to once again enchance the style that we were going for. The plants consisted of Ivy, Asparagus Fern, other Ferns, Grasses and Skimmia. On the six posuer tables, there were some very simple vases using the same flowers to tie it all together, without detracting from the tables or bar.

Finally, Emma and her Dad had also designed and created a planter that ran the whole way along and around the stage. This was full of Orchids, white Roses, more Ferns and Grasses.

Although there was a lot of scope to run free, Emma did know the style she wanted and no detail was missed. From place settings from Japan to table linen and crockery it was timeless, clean and elegant. Emma wanted to be able to look back at every element of their wedding in 10 or 20 years time and not want to change a thing. I think we have succeeded. It was truly a really wonderful and magical day, full of good food, good company, good drinks and music and even better flowers.
